According to redcrossblood.org, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

Madison Magee, account manager for the Red Cross that handles all blood drives in Madison County, said she aims to collect 600 units of blood this month. According to Magee, this blood can help 18 hundred patients locally and across the United States.

If you want to help achieve this goal, St. John’s United Methodist Church at 7372 Marine Road, Edwardsville will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive this Wednesday from 1-6 p.m. Donors are invited to register at redcrossblood.org or contact Michelle Babb at [email protected] or 618-656-1853.
