Kandiyohi County Food Shelf

WILLMAR — March is Minnesota Food Share Month and the Kandiyohi County Food Shelf is competing against other Minnesota Food Shelves for grants. The amount of subsidy received is based on the amount of revenue each food aisle receives during the month of March. Non-perishable food items are welcome and especially cash, as $20 buys nearly $200 worth of food through the Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank. Planned fundraisers include:

  • Emergency Radio: March 25, 7-10 a.m., by Lakeland Broadcasting and Jennie-O Turkey Store. Donate online at

    www.kandiyohicountyfoodshelf.com

or send checks to 624 Pacific Ave. SW, Willmar, MN 56201 and put “radio for relief” in the memo section.
