Beyond Books: Check Out These Events at Your Local Library

• Take-out and make-to-order kits (all ages): monthly kits available at the loan counter on a first come, first served basis. The kits are made for everyone and will not adhere to age groups like previous months.

Reed town area Neighborhood library

• Second Saturday: 11 am to 2 pm on the second Saturday of each month. Each month the library will host a variety of events. Visit for more details.

• Story time: 11:30 am Wednesday. Join Ms. Cyndi for fun stories and activities.

• Scrabble: 1 pm to 3 pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Morton Township Library

• Story time (ages 0-5): 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Face-to-face story time is back. If you prefer to enjoy story time in the comfort of your own home, weekly videos will be posted and craft kits will be available.

• Craft Wednesday for Kids: Kits are available for curbside pickup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. Call 231-972-8315 and the staff will bring you the packages.

• STEAM Take-Out Kits: Kits incorporate interesting books with interactive resources for family fun and learning, and can be viewed with your library card!

Walton Erickson Public Library

• Book sale: 10 am to 3 pm Saturday, November 6. Funds raised will support library programs.

• Book signing, meeting and reception: from 10 am to noon on Saturday, November 20. Meet Michigan authors Carol Underhill, “Angelica’s Christmas Wish,” and Renee Jensen, “The Twinkling Tree.”


• Novel Tea Book Club: 3 pm on the third Thursday of each month at Artworks, 106 N. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids. 231-796-2420.
